Richard and Assunta’s Engagement Session – Markham / Scarborough

Richard and Assunta have been together for “forever”! Even their friends say so.

It was an interesting experience meeting these two for the first time.
They had just finished their shifts at work, so they decided on meeting for dinner at Destiny Tea House to have their favourite “Tom Yum Soup”. These two are always so busy, but they always make the time to get out together, try different cuisines/restaurants/hot spots, and eat to their heart’s content.

Assunta described how she was the least “girly” person that I would ever meet. She used to be an intense online gamer — even most guys couldn’t keep up with her gaming skills! Richard kept making funny faces at her every few minutes. They both have that indescribable “wackiness” that oozes out of them.

During our conversation, Richard said, “We wanted to spend a little more [money] to invest into a good wedding photographer because we know how important these photos will be. You only get one chance to get it done right. Do you think you’re up to the challenge?” I responded saying, “Yes! I wish everyone’s mentality was the same as yours!” I was so glad that they understood how their wedding photographer was such a valuable investment. You only get one chance to get it done right — thanks Richard and Assunta for trusting me with this great honour.

As I like to say, “after the wedding cake is cut, the vows are said, and the flowers have wilted away, the only thing you get to keep forever to remember the day and show your family and friends, are your photographs (other than your spouse and your rings!) — you definitely want to be proud of your photos and show them off! I understand that wedding photography is expensive, but it really is an investment that lasts for generations — your photos are such a valuable, tangible, treasure, and memory of your day, the joyous celebration, and your lifelong commitment to each other.”
I’m looking forward to your wedding next April!
