To hear the story of how these two met, head on over to Sabrina and Andy’s engagement session‘s blog post.
Imagine the scene:
Andy had set up some jars of paint and paint brushes ready for an artistic adventure.
Two canvases on easels were set up back-to-back so that Andy couldn’t see what Sabrina was going to paint nor could Sabrina see what Andy was going to paint until all was complete. I’m not sure how long it took Andy to choose the colours he was going to use for the background nor how long he took to paint and write those 4 powerful and fateful words, but what I do know is that it must have been difficult for Andy to wait for Sabrina to finish painting her canvas! Alright, the masterpiece is finished. It’s time for the big reveal …
Ready? 1, 2, 3! Andy’s canvas read, “Will you marry me?”
I thought that that was a very creative proposal idea :)
Sabrina obviously said “Yes!” and now they are happily married! Well done, Andy!
With such a creatively artistic proposal story, I thought it would be perfect to catch up with Sabrina and Andy at Paintlounge, a local “social painting & tea cafe” – and we did!
I was so glad to hear that they were doing well and had such a great trip to Quebec City.
We started the wedding day off at Sabrina’s house where her father continuously offered us food and drinks and made sure we were well-cared for. It was good to see Karen Chen Richardson again as she was taking care of Sabrina’s make-up and hair. While eating some brunch, one of Sabrina’s bridesmaids even said, “Wow, it’s so relaxing and stress-free this morning!” – that’s exactly what I like to hear since I make it a point to be a part of the process of putting together the schedule and itinerary of my couple’s wedding days.
At the ceremony, Sabrina and Andy were contagiously smiling cheek-to-cheek!
It was good to see some familiar faces at the ceremony as well. You never know what great people you’ll bump into at a wedding!
In fact, seeing that Palettera was right there, we walked over to visit and say “Hi” to Deborah for a quick second, but the studio wasn’t open yet!
Considering how much of a Starbucks addict Sabrina is, of course we had to make a trip to the coffee shop afterwards. It turned out to be a good way to keep everyone warm on a colder autumn day.
Their dinner reception was filled with some hilarious, side-splitting speeches that even included being serenaded with a personalized song. There was definitely no shortage of food either! It was sure to be a memorable night.
Congratulations and all the best, Sabrina and Andy!
