It is such a wonderful compliment when someone wholeheartedly recommends me to their family and friends. I did their sister’s family session last year and they loved the images on display around their home! So this amazing family emailed me in the middle of summer, 3 months in advance, to secure a family session time slot for the fall!

October is often the busiest time of the year for us photographers as so many people want images with the colourful autumn leaves. It’s difficult to peg down the “perfect” time to capture the fall colours: there’s a fine balance between selecting an early date when it’s cold enough that the leaves are prompted to change colour, but not so cold that you’re too bundled up and uncomfortably freezing. Similarly, finding a date early enough when the leaves are still attached to the trees and yet not so late that the rain and wind blows them all down. I’m happy that we were able to include some yellows and oranges in this session!
