This wonderful grandmother and grandfather just accomplished reaching their 40th wedding anniversary – a truly amazing milestone! Can you imagine 40 continuous and consecutive years of active and intentional self-sacrifice, commitment, and mutual support? Marriage is a significant responsibility: the constant giving up of yourself to elevate the needs of another, the development of and preservation of trust, and the on-going promise to care for, uplift, and encourage one another no matter what circumstances arise.
To celebrate, their children (who definitely aren’t little babies anymore!) reached out to me to organize a multi-generational extended family photo session where everyone could be included together – what a fantastic idea!
With so many young children involved, their mothers and fathers wisely packed a wide assortment of delicious snacks to ensure that they were fully fuelled! Plus, I usually bring a few colourful bubble wands along to family sessions so that they have something fun to look at and play with too! With the weather becoming colder now, it was a great idea to dress in layers (to both look great and stay warm) and they also brought along a larger-sized children’s stroller, which became a great way to temporarily store and transport everyone’s jackets and bags.
