We’ve been experiencing some strange weather this year in Toronto with non-stop rain. Well, the rain decided to take a break so that Manshun (and his groomsmen) could “prove himself worthy” of Jess through a series of challenges known as Traditional Chinese Door Games. The bridesmaids had a series of tasks ready for them to complete such as feeding themselves candy by gyrating, enduring a session of leg hair removal with hot wax, eating hot peppers, and copying a Backstreet Boys’ dance routine. Amazingly, the torrential downpour even held out until the last few minutes of our creative portrait session, when we perfectly found a verandah to find some shelter from the heavy rain.

Jessica’s parents are so funny. Their example of what the “perfect kiss” is and their speech at the dinner reception had everyone laughing: “I’m watching you”! At the end of the night, super talented Jessica played guitar (a fellow Larrivée guitar owner!) and sang a heartwarming love song to Manshun: while he didn’t cry, almost everyone else did! When the lights dimmed and the music started, it was refreshing to see so many people gathered together having fun on the dance floor!
