Wedding planning is already a time-intensive and exhausting task. Add a global pandemic into the mix with uncertainty about the future and constantly changing restrictions – that raises the complexity up to another level. Like many other couples during this time, they’ve had to reschedule their wedding date.

Through all of the challenges, I’ve enjoyed getting to know this amazing couple over the last few months. As we talked about their wedding, having high-quality photographs was so high up on their priority list that they were even willing to wake up before 4AM to make it out for a sunrise engagement session at Trillium Park!

Popular photography locations can become very busy in the evening with lots of other park users – especially if the weather is nice outside, everyone else wants to go out and enjoy it as well. So to take advantage of the scenic beauty of the waterfront area and the wide expanse of the park with minimal interruptions, we visited at sunrise. Even then, there were surprisingly quite a number of people in the park right at opening.
